Designers In Seclusion RFL team Event

We have had a great run for the first year as a Relay for Life Team!:D

Numerous Events and so many of our team supporting with wonderful contributions of time and items of donation.

We closed up our DiS RFL events with MOMENTO, an Auction-Fashion show with the support of Metro Models.

For six hours long, many from the Sl community came and sat, bidding on rare and exclusive items donated to the cause.

It was amazing!

The air was charged with excitement as each model strolled out in the next garment for auction. Bids were all high when taking into the account that the clothing in SL, is usually reasonable and rarely over 2k. It was wonderful to see sooo many willing to pull the bids continuously up to 5k, 10k, 20k and more!

And then the moment happened... the one that floored all of us!!!

Mui, a talented theatrical Model, strolled out in Eshi Otawara’s Fish-hook dress, (yes as in Fish Hooks) and the bids came rolling out and up and up and up.

Everyone sat memorized as the bids grew, past 50K, past 100K, past 200K, past 250k, 350k and even past 450K with Kay Fairey and Clarabelle Cazlet winning with the final bid of $460,000!

This is unbelievable, 460K it the total of 1700.00 USD. A price for a virtual reality dress, that actually matches the cost of many Designer labels in 1st Life!

What a wonderful team feat!

So many donations of items to auction came in that Tigerlily Koi, our DiS RFL captain, had to make the last minute logical choice to put the Jewelry items up for their very own Silent Auction.

So MOMENTO has been Extended!

July 13th till the 14th, community members can come and drop bids into the displays and hope they out-bidded all other bids to win the pieces they would like.

I INVITE YOU! To come make a bid for one of the beautiful jewel sets on display, bid high!

Its all going to a seriously important cause and winning doesn't only win you the "prize" but will fill you with such a pride of helping us find a way to finally beat cancer!
